Beyond the Bench brings together a small, fixed group of twelve scientists and technical professionals who meet six times from February through December for confidential, book-anchored discussions on the human, creative, and career dimensions of scientific work.

Members of the Beyond the Bench Tuesday Tech Book Club accelerator are navigating what it means to build a meaningful, sustainable career in science. Whether exploring leadership, considering future paths, or seeking more visibility and confidence in their roles, this cohort offers space to reflect, compare experiences, and build practical frameworks for growing as a scientist and as a person.

Intentional Gravity draws early-career professionals from labs, research teams, clinical settings, and science-adjacent industries. We intentionally balance cohorts across disciplines and institutional types to create a rich mix of perspectives. This cohort is designed for scientists who want to strengthen their leadership capacity and expand their sense of possibility, not necessarily for those planning to leave the bench.

The program follows a six-session arc designed to deepen trust, foster peer learning, and support thoughtful growth through shared reading and structured conversation.

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, with a final deadline of January 10, 2026. Space is limited to twelve participants, and early applications are encouraged.
